The David Sheldrick Elephant Sanctuary is not a zoo—it’s a safe haven for young, orphaned elephants and rhinos rescued from the wild. Here, they are cared for, nurtured, and prepared for eventual release back into their natural habitat.
Public visits are available daily from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., where guests can watch the elephants enjoy their feeding and playful mud baths. For a more intimate experience, private visits can be arranged for the 5:00 p.m. feeding.
